Outdoor Recreation
The property is part of a 40-miles multi-use trail network, which the current landowner generously opens to public use for mountain biking, trail running, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. These trails form part of an extensive and highly popular 50-mile regional trail network that continues onto adjacent town forest lands owned by Newfields and Exeter.
The trails on the property and adjacent town lands are used by thousands of people each month and are maintained by an active group of volunteers. Creation of the Community Forest along with a new designated parking area and trailhead will permanently protect access to and maintenance of this key part of the regional trail network.
